SZN is involved in the study of biodiversity of geothermal sites and in the potential hazard related to marine mining activities by direct survey and dispersal models (Hydrothermalism and marine mineral resources).
SZN is also involved in the determination of basic genetic parameters, functional to the definition of the best transplantation strategies in Posidonia oceanica and to the development of early warning molecular indicators of environmental stress (Recovery of degraded marine-coastal areas).
