Mission
The main objective of the project is the creation of an integrated system of skills able to effectively and innovatively cope with some environmental risk-related issues, with specific reference to coastal marine environment. This environment, in particular in the Regions of Convergence, represents a strategic element for local economy, as well as an area of particular vulnerability either in terms of environment-related resources both or in terms of the effects on local residents’ human health. The project aims to create a strong synergy between scientific research and technological transfer to the private sector, for the development of the selected themes.

The “Marine Hazard” project aims
to address the issue of danger connected to
the management of marine resources with specific actions capable of dealing with a multiplicity of related aspects among others:
To the conservation of the good state of the sea and its resources.
To the development of new technologies able to exploit in a sustainable way the energy, mineral and food resources that come from the sea.
To the development of new integrated systems and platforms capable of restoring acceptable situations in environmental sectors subject to intense anthropization phenomena.
