The Zooprophylactic Institute of Sicily is involved in the remediation of contaminated sediments, which is divided into three Work Packages (WPs), with the Institute being currently involved in WP1 with the following activities:

• WP1 – Sampling and ecotoxicological characterization of sediments collected in marine-coastal areas affected by anthropic and industrial impact:
  – Bagnoli
  – Augusta
  – Capo Granitola.

There are 10 ecotoxicological analyzes on the Bagnoli and Augusta samples (20 samples); 3 ecotoxicological analyzes on the samples of Capo Granitola (6 samples), for a total of 26 samples.
