The activities of CNR-IAS will be focused on the following specific aspects:
- development of new technologies dedicated to deep sea mining and exploration and integrated systems for mitigation of the connected environmental impacts;
- development of integrated remediation technologies (physical, chemical and biological) applied to marine sediments and water;
- development of integrated technologies for remote sensing of marine-coastal areas;
- development of innovative approaches to ecosystem recovery and replanting of Posidonia oceanica in marine-coastal areas.
