\n- Offshore campaigns for the geochemical characterization of fluids and solid depositions emitted by hydrothermal systems of the Aeolian Arch, the Seamount Palinuro and the banks of the Sicilian channel.<\/li>\n
- Installation of a multidisciplinary marine observatory which will collect, for the first time, long time series data continuously from deep hydrothermal systems of the Seamount Palinuro and the Aeolian Islands.<\/li>\n
- Collaboration with Leonardo S.p.a. for implementing an active acoustics system to locate submarine hydrothermal emissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
In the integrated observation of the sea area, through:<\/p>\n
\n- The creation of a highly sensitive acoustic station, able to make new contributions to the marine noise descriptor, in collaboration with the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN). The station will be tested on the INFN node of the European KM3Net infrastructure, off the southeastern coast of Sicily at a depth of 3500 meters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
